Stewart Anderson

Stewart Clyde Anderson, age 60 of Stellarton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Chester Clyde Anderson and Catherine Ruth (Newington) MacDonald. Family was everything to him. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and seeing them smile. He enjoyed his hunting trips and many adventures with his grandson Owen, with whom he shared a special bond, and his coffee runs and occasional beer with his bud Chris. He was a “Jack of all trades” and was always willing to lend a hand. Stewart worked as a backhoe operator for the Town of Stellarton for over 35 years. He will be missed by his crew. Stewart was predeceased by his brother Doug. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years Elizabeth (Hatfield) and their children, Joey (Robyn) Anderson, Reg (Laurie) Anderson and Rose (Mike) Brophy; his 13 grandchildren, Tad, Noah, Faith, Cash, Jace, Sadie, Chett, Avery, Riley, Owen, Ben, Nathan and Colin; sisters Irene and Ruth; brother Robert; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A private burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
