Vincent Adrian Macdonald

The sudden death of Vincent Adrian MacDonald, 58, formerly of Egerton, Pictou County, occurred at his home in Calgary on July 20, 2018 from heart disease. As a young man of 17 years, Vincent headed west and worked the oil fields in Alberta and Libya. He later became a heavy equipment operator working the tars sands in Northern Alberta. Most recently, he worked construction in Calgary. Vincent prided himself on precision and a job well done. He was the son of the late Donald and Mildred (Anderson) MacDonald. He is survived by partner Yva Palmares, daughter, who was his pride and joy, Marie (Gord) Beauprez, grandson Brody, granddaughter Whitney, former wife Gerry (Kevin) Casey, brothers Donnie (Ella Anderson), Alan (Gloria), Philip (Barb Quick), Bryan (Melody Toledo), sisters Edie (Donnie) Gillis, and Laurie (Gary) Kolstee. He was predeceased by brothers Joseph (in infancy) and Melvin, sister Dorothy Johnston, and sister-in-law Jessie MacDonald. Funeral services were held in Calgary and Edmonton. Vincent's cremains will be returned to Pictou County where a celebration of life and interment will take place at a later date.
