Well here we are into another Christmas season with everyone busy shopping and looking for that good buy. With the weather being on a rollercoaster ride up and down we have had our first snowfall of the season that just lasted one day and now mostly rain and damp for the past few days.

But with the holiday season here that gets a lot of people into the party mood and with office parties and company parties taking place this time of the year that brings another problem. For in the past few days it has been on the news and on TV that DUIs are up across the Maritimes provinces and our police services are asking drivers to not drink and drive. They are stepping up their checkpoints and watching for drivers who have been drinking.

So a word of warning: leave your keys at home or have someone do the driving who is a non-drinker, for if you have an accident the life you take may not be your own. So drive safely and drive sober and make our highways a safe place for all of us. Thank you and have a safe holiday. Merry Christmas.
