LETTER: Rare and magical sighting

I know many of you won’t believe what I saw yesterday on the trails in Trenton Park. As I trudged along, I glimpsed a shy little creature, very quick and lively who seemed to dance off into the woods.

Soon déjà vu set in and I recalled getting a flash of something similar about this time last year. I thought how “lucky” I was to see something so rare again.

Now, you’re wondering what it was. Well, the glint of green gave it away and I became aware that I had seen a leprechaun.

If you don’t believe me, it’s OK, because the real purpose of my letter is to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the Town of Trenton and especially the people who take such great care of Trenton Park. I’ve gone there for years and it only continues to get better. The path around the pond is smooth and kept clear all winter. It is relatively flat and suitable for all ages. The trails in the woods, with the brooks chattering and the wind in the trees whispering of spring, can cause one to imagine they are anywhere in the world.

As for me, I’m grateful and thankful to be most days in wonderful Trenton Park.
