It is time for someone in charge in the Town of Westville to come out and take responsibility for a lawsuit casting roughly $344,000 in a settlement with CF Construction. This is not to mention accepting a bid at approximately $160,000 more than the next lowest bid. This takes the loss to the citizens of close to $500,000. This would not take into consideration the legal costs in defence of the bidding process which I would figure, and stand to be corrected on, of between $80,000 and $100,000.

Just when the town seemed to be making some progress this has to happen. I would ask the CAO and council to schedule a special meeting to inform the citizenry of just what happened and what sort of repercussions this will have for the town. There is The CAO the council, a lawyer and an engineering firm involved, so someone has to admit responsibility for this gross error.
