Locally-trained Galamoe wins first start of the year

Galamoe, a six-year-old mare, trained by Sandy Baird of Chance Harbour won her first start of the year at Truro Raceway last Sunday, May 25. She was driven to the win by Paul Langille of Onslow. Galamoe is owned by Alexander Baird and the If UR Not First UR Last Stable. Sandy trains Galamoe at Chuck O'Connor's training facility in Andersons Mountain. Also racing last weekend, Weird Albert, owned and trained by local trainer Devin O'Connor, finished in the money with a strong third place finish. Galamoe and Weird Albert will back racing this weekend on Sunday, June 1 at Truro Raceway. Post time is 1:30 p.m.
