Sartoris invited to Hockey Canada U-17 development camp

NEW GLASGOW – On Tuesday, Matt Sartoris was named as one of six Nova Scotians that were invited to Hockey Canada’s Under-17 development camp.

A 6’5 defenceman, he was recently drafted 12th overall by the Gatineau Olympiques after spending a season with the Weeks Major Midgets.

The camp, which will include 96 skaters and 12 goalies, is set to take place July 29 to Aug. 4 in Calgary.

Of the 96 skaters there are 36 from Ontario, 24 from Quebec, 13 from Alberta, eight from B.C., five from Manitoba and two apiece from Newfoundland and Saskatchewan.
