Leafs keep rolling to post-season with win over Devils on record-setting night
TORONTO — Franchise rookie records continued to fall as the Toronto Maple Leafs kept on rolling toward the post-season.
GoodLife New Glasgow recently wrapped up their workout and win challenge.
The objective of the challenge was for group exercise participants to track the hours spent in classes for the month of July. Prizes were then awarded to those who spent the most time in classes over that period.
The challenge was well received and participation levels from members were very high. There were over 30 regular and frequent participants to classes such as spin, zumba, Jillian Micheals BodyShred, Les Mills BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyCombat and BodyFlow programs.
Brian Beaton was awarded the grand champion prize for the most hours spent in a variety of classes. Denise Taylor was a close second and Wendy Crosby was third. The total number of hours spent in classes was close to 1,000 hours for all attendees.
Many participants logged between 20-30 hours for the month, a very significant achievement. Of special note, Beaton chose to donate his cash prize to the Shepherd’s Lunch Room.
