Female hockey hands out the hardware

Greg Burrows, centre, of the Pictou County Subway restaurants, recently presented 10 graduates of the Subway Selects female hockey program with their graduating rings. The rings were presented during the Selects year-end banquet by Burrows, who is sponsor of the female program. NEW GLASGOW – The Pictou County Female Hockey Association held its annual year-end banquet this week at North Nova Education Centre.

Awards were handed out to members of each Subway Selects team in six categories: Most Valuable Player (Offence), Most Valuable Player (Defence), Most Sportsmanlike, Most Dedicated, Most Improved and Coaches’ Choice.
