Callaghan finishes third at junior golf provincials

NEW MINAS, N.S. – Ben Callaghan of Stellarton finished third the Nova Scotia junior golf championships.

Playing in the Juvenile boys division (U17), the Abercrombie Golf Club member shot a final round of seven-over par 77 on Thursday, three back of Ewan Kelly and seven strokes off the pace set by winner John Mosher.  

His brother Evan Callaghan finished tied for 14th in junior division, posting a 77 in his final round.

In the Bantam girls division, New Glasgow’s Taylor Long finished in 11th place overall in the girl’s division, but was fifth in the Bantam-aged group. The tournament was played this week at Ken-Wo in New Minas.
