Albion Amateur Boxing Club fighters had mixed results at a card in Saint John, N.B.
Shauna Fukes, competing in just her second match, lost a decision to New Brunswick’s Ashley Joyce.
“Shauna lost a very close decision (but) a lot of people thought she won,” said club president Jim Worthen.
Other matches involving Pictou County boxers saw Albion boxer Ethan Pratt get a win over Bob MacNeil; Ryan Perry lost a decision to Tony Hogan; Jonathan Hay lost to Moncton's Kirk Dollet, and Carson Scholes lost a decision to Julien Davis of Halifax.
“All of the bouts were very competitive,” Worthen added.
