The Pictou County Atom AA Selects picked up a win in two games in female hockey action over the weekend.

On Saturday against Metro West Force at Hector Arena in Pictou, the Selects took a quick 3-0 lead in the first period with goals scored by Reese Murray (unassisted), Hailey Taylor with assists by Karlee Rose and Mya MacDonald, and Acelyn Potter, assisted by Avery Henderson and Sidney Keay.

The Force came back to tie it up in the second, but the Selects came away with the win in the third with an unassisted goal by Henderson and an Ella Fitt empty-netter to seal the 5-3 win. Kenli Ross had the win in nets.

The Selects were not so lucky at their away game held on in Dartmouth, where they fell 4-1 to Metro East Inferno. The lone goal for the Selects was scored unassisted by Murray in the third period.
