Leafs keep rolling to post-season with win over Devils on record-setting night
TORONTO — Franchise rookie records continued to fall as the Toronto Maple Leafs kept on rolling toward the post-season.
Art Hafey is shown presenting the Charlie Hafey Memorial Plaque to captain Debbie MacLean of the Blue Jays. The Jays defeated the Cardinals, Giants and Yankees in the six-game tournament held at the Albion Field over the past three weeks as part of the Leo Fahey Twilight League. They have held their season ending tournament the past few years in honour of Charlie who was co-founder of the league in 2007 along with Leo Fahey, Wayne Fraser and Gus Fahey. During the past few years, Bobby Evans, Glenn MacKinnon and Shirley Kennedy have come on board to maintain the League’s popularity.
