The Pictou County Bantam A Crushers split a pair of games with the Brookfield Elks last weekend.
On Saturday afternoon at the Pictou County Wellness Center, the Crushers battled back from one-goal deficits three times before falling 5-3. Scoring twice for the Crushers was Dawson MacKay, while Willem Fraser added the third.
On Sunday at the Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex in Brookfield, the Crushers came out with a much better effort and shut out the Elks 4-0. Gavin Bourque did major damage for the Crushers as he netted all four goals for his team, while Ethan Trowell had the shutout in goal.
This coming weekend, the Bantam A Crushers will be competing in the Ossie Fraser Memorial Tournament in Sydney.
