Carlton Munroe honoured by slo-pitch league

The Trenton Men’s Slo-Pitch League is having its season-opening tournament this weekend, and in honour of the late Carlton Munroe, the league is naming the tournament “The Carlton”.

Munroe was a player with the Blue Lob -Stars team, and was known also for his work as a radio newsman and later, as the executive director of the Riverfront Jubilee. He died last Nov. 22 after a year-long battle with cancer. In back left is league president Tom Dale, while also shown is Carlton’s son Noah and Nate, his wife Taryn and his mother Alta Munroe. Nate threw out the first pitch prior to a game on Thursday in Trenton.
