WESTVILLE ROAD – Two goals from Jacob Hickey led the Pictou County Crushers to a 3-1 win over the South Shore Lumberjacks on Thursday.

Dylan Riley broke a 1-1 tie with a third-period power play goal and Hickey’s second of the night – his 23rd of the season – added some insurance as the Crushers moved to within six points of the Truro Bearcats and the final playoff spot in the Maritime Hockey League’s South Division. Aidan Casey had the only goal for South Shore, while Crushers’ netminder Luke Mealson made 26 saves.

Pictou County were in South Shore on Friday for rematch with the Lumberjacks.
