STELLARTON – Four athletes with Pictou County Athletics (PCA) competed for Team N.S. at the Legion Nationals in Brandon, Man. this past weekend.
Keighan DeCoff was the double-medal winner at the event, winning bronze in discus with a throw of 36m, a five-metre improvement on her best throw going into the competition. She also won a bronze in the shot put.
Jenna Reid placed well in both the U18 javelin and hammer throw, finishing sixth in the hammer throw with a throw of 53.06m, also a personal best. She placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 41.36 m.
Cara MacDonald was 11th in the 300m and also competed in the 200m, while Kristen Ross placed 13th in the 800m.
