Gillis (fourth from left, back row) participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 10,000m event, as well as in both 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics in the marathon event. During his speech, Gillis spoke to the students about marathon training, marathon fueling and his Olympic experiences.
