Scotians get first win of the season in Cumberland County
SPRINGHILL – The Pictou County Scotians doubled the Cumberland County Blues 6-3 on Friday in Springhill.
Logan Vandemeerakker had two goals for the Scotians (1-1), while Robert Burrows, Ian Keating, Jeremy MacFarlane and Lucas Rushton also scored.
Carson Payne potted a pair for the Blues, and Alex Griffiths also scored.
Blake Meech made 23 saves in goal and Will Kelly picked up three assists for Pictou County, who had a home game scheduled for Sunday night against the Sackville Blazers.
