MOUNT WILLIAM - Nathan MacMillan scored in overtime for the Joneljim Cougars to hand the Cape Breton team a 3-2 win against the Wear Well Bantam Bombers on Sunday.

Pictou County goals came from Blake Kontuk in the first and Matt Carson in the third. Kontuk, Carson, and Iain Horton all added assists.

A shaky first period for the Wear Well Bantam Bombers led to a 8-1 defeat at the hands of the Harbour Storm on Saturday.

Wearing their Children’s Wish jerseys, part of a league-wide fundraising effort on behalf of that organization, the Bombers were down 4-0 after the first.

Scott Long had the only goal for the locals in the second period as the home side picked up their intensity, assisted by Colin MacGillivray on a short-handed effort, but the Bombers would get no closer.
