BERWICK – The usual suspects created much of the Crushers' offence on the weekend as the Maritime Hockey League club finished their October schedule with two wins against division opponents.
In a 7-1 win against the Valley Wildcats on Sunday, Michael Dill had two goals and an assist while Alexis Roy set up four goals and Jake Hickey, Evan MacLennan, Alex Bonaparte and Mack Derraugh hit the score sheet in a game where Pictou County took control with a four-goal second period.
On Friday, Pictou County received a goal and two assists from Roy, while Curtis, Dill and Hickey also scored in a 4-2 win over the Yarmouth Mariners.
Brodie Butt and Mike Snow replied for Yarmouth, who beat the Amherst Ramblers 6-5 the next day.
The Crushers and Mariners will play again Thursday at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. The teams are in a tie for first place in the South Division, each team with 26 points.
