SPRINGHILL - The Pictou County Scotians werent about to take a losing streak into the Christmas break.

Coming off losses incurred on Dec. 8 and Dec. 10, the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League team took it out on the Cumberland County Blues Friday in a 7-2 win.

Robert Burrows had two goals and an assist, Logan Vandemeerakker potted a pair of goalies and Jared Livingstone, Blair Dewtie and Colin Holmes added singles.

Chad Miller and Alex Griffiths did the Cumberland County scoring.

The Scotians (14-5-4) are in second spot in the Sid Rowe Division, the Blues (1-22-1) occupy last place.
