STELLARTON (The News) - The Pictou County Minor Hockey Association, including New Glasgow, Stellarton, Trenton, Thorburn and Westville will hold a joint registration today, Sept. 18 from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. at the Nova Scotia Community College campus in Stellarton.
An information table on female hockey will also be on hand.
Players will receive their registration form from the main Pictou County Minor Hockey table at the entrance and then be directed to their home association, age category and level.
If players are not already registered in PCMHA's Hockey Canada data base, each will be given a blank registration form to fill out.
A map and literature will be available to determine home association for clarification, if necessary.
Player release and coaching application forms will also be available. At the request of the home associations, there will be a $25 late fee charge for players registering who miss the above two registrations.
A signup for the third and final checking clinic for first year peewee players will also be held at this joint registration.
All first year peewee players, including goalies at the B, A, AA, or AAA levels, must take a checking clinic before they are allowed to go on the ice to play peewee. The checking clinics are sponsored by the Pictou County Hockey Development Fund and there is no fee for this clinic. For information on minor hockey, contact: www.pcmha.com
