The Ramblers got on the board first when Michael White scored at 4:19 into the first period off passes from Alex Bradley and Jordan King.
Garrett Lambke scored on a power play for Pictou County, tying the game 1-1, and then Mike Lyle put the Crushers up 2-1 at 17:59 into the first.
Bradley tied the game 2-2 with 31 seconds left in the first.
The Ramblers went up 4-2 in the second period off goals from Matt LaPointe at 4:31, and Bradley at 10:32. Nick Cass and Francis Theriault assisted on the LaPointe goal and Sam LeBlanc on the Bradley goal.
Luc Poirier and Cole Murphy tied the game up 4-4 before the end of the second, with Murphy’s goal coming on the power play.
LaPointe scored an unassisted goal on the power play at 2:50 into the third period, making it a 5-4 game, and then Cass gave the Ramblers a two-point cushion by scoring less than a minute later off feeds from Theriault and Matthew Paul.
The Ramblers outshot the Crushers 48-25.
Joe Sheppard played in goal for the Ramblers, and Justin Ritcey for the Crushers.
The Crushers will host the Truro Bearcats on Thursday.
