NEW GLASGOW – The soccer teams at NNEC will both be vying for a spot in regional finals on Thursday.

The boys team will be at Cobequid Educational Centre in Truro, while the girls will head to Antigonish for a 7 p.m. game versus the Dr. J.H. Gillis Royals.

A loss would eliminate either Gryphons team, while a win would have them playing Saturday in a regional championship game.

NNEC defeated the NRHS Nighthawks 4-2 on Wednesday, eliminating the Hawks from contention.

At NRHS, the Nighthawks boys team are hosting the Royals on Thursday at 4 p.m., with a chance to also move on to the regional final.
