ALMA – The Northumberland JV boys basketball team is hosting a playoff game Friday at 4 p.m. at NRHS.

The Nighthawks will play the third-place team from Highland Region: the BEC Bears from New Waterford. The Nighthawks earned their way to this game by coming in second at the regional's held in Truro this past weekend. They defeated the NNEC Gryphons in the semis only to lose to the CEC Cougars in the final. CEC now goes directly to the provincials to be held Feb 23.-24 in Dartmouth.

The winner of the Friday game advances directly to provincials in Dartmouth.
