Six different goal scorers propelled the Northern Selects to a 6-3 win over the East Hants Penguins in Nova Scotia Female AAA Midget Hockey League action Sunday at East Hants.
The Selects continue their hold on first place in the seven-team female hockey league with their 14th win of the season. Ashley Livingston, Maddie Quinn, Kara MacLean, Ella MacLean, K.J. Emery and Camryn Halliday each had single markers in the victory and Lily Currie had a strong game between the pipes for the Selects.
The Northern squad out-shot their opponent 42-19.
The Selects will play a two-game home stand against the Moncton Rockets next weekend at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.
Game time on both Saturday and Sunday is 1 p.m.
