NEW GLASGOW - One basketball league wraps up this weekend while another is getting underway at New Glasgow Junior High School.
On Sunday at 7:30 p.m., the Spring League's championship game takes place. Chediac's and Sobeys Westside will face each other for all the marbles.
In Summer League action, Dave's Cleaning, Tartan Blade and Jack Lewis Electric picked up wins Thursday.
Adrian Carty scored 16 points to lead Dave's Cleaning over Pizza Delight 81-63.
Other scorers on the team were: Joey Leese (14), Dave Leese (12), Dave Lemon (11), Ian Kemp (10) Chase Bowden (9) and John Lafferty (9).
For Pizza Delight, Darrel Bowden and Calen Kinney led with 18 points. Other scorers were: Dylan Mulder (10), Marcus MacLean (10), Aaron Smith (4), Gordon MacIsaac (3).
In the second game, Tartan Blade defeated Pro Sport 63-56.
Dave Benoit led Tartan Blade with 17 points. Other scorers on the team were: Donnie MacGregor (14), Mike Currie (12), Gene Mills (5), James Pyche (5), Grayson MacDonald (4), Sean Munroe (4) and Andrew Hatfield (2).
Duane Rutledge led Jack Lewis Electric to a 72-56 win over John Vance. Scorers on Jack Lewis were: Bradley Johnson (17), Tyler MacDonald (16), Mark Arbuckle (13) and Scott Kelly (7).
For John Vance: Evan Lorimer (19), Andrew Purdy (17), Nolan Reddick (9), Chris Deyoung (5), Eric Robertson (4) and Sean Rutledge (2).
