TRENTON –The Pictou County Scotians continued their impressive early-season run on Sunday, beating the Cumberland County Blues 4-2.

Gatean Tremblay had a goal and an assist, while also scoring were Luke Spicer, William Kelly and David Culbersome, the latter having three goals in four games as a Scotian.

Pictou County (6-1-1) has won five of their past six games, the only blemish in that span being a 5-4 shootout loss to the Antigonish Bulldogs on Oct. 6.

They are just two points behind the first-place Glace Bay Miners in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey Leagues Sid Rowe Division, and play at the Strait Pirates Friday, before a date with the Miners next Sunday in Trenton.
