The Midget A Subway Selects were silver finalists this past weekend at the Consolidated Credit Union Female Midget A Tournament in Summerside, P.E.I.
The Selects had two wins and a tie in the round robin, putting them in second place out of eight teams. In the crossovers, they defeated the Northumberland Bruins 4-3 in a shootout. This advanced the team to the gold medal game against the Tignish Aces, where they were defeated 2-0.
Game stars in the tournament were Annika Masters, Ashley Niven, Thea Waller, Charlotte Musick and Emily Hayes. Waller was also named tournament all-star for the Selects.
