WESTVILLE ROAD – The Pictou County Weeks Major Midgets got out of Dartmouth even in their Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League playoff series.

In the series opener on Saturday, Weeks captain Carson Lanceleve scored midway through the third period to break a 3-3 tie and propel Weeks to a 4-3 win.

Benjamin Walker, Connor MacLeod and Wayne Denny also had goals for Weeks, who received a 47-save performance from goaltender Andrew MacLeod.

Game 2 on Sunday afternoon at the Dartmouth Sportsplex saw Steele Subaru romp to an 8-0 win, evening the series.

The series now shifts to the Pictou County Wellness Centre for two games: Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 8 p.m.
