Halifax Stanfield International Airport is welcoming back Condor Airlines in 2020, with four-times-a-week service to Frankfurt and the return of weekly flights to Munich.
Condor, which describes itself as Germany's most popular leisure airline, announced Tuesday that it is topping up its summer flight schedule.
Long-haul destinations from Munich will be on the flight schedule again. These include Boeing 767 flights to Halifax on Fridays starting in June.
“We are thus offering our guests in southern Germany an even greater selection of direct connections to their holidays and are strengthening our presence in Munich with a stationed long-haul aircraft,” Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor, said in a news release.
The connection from Munich to Halifax is being relaunched along with one to Seattle.
Long-haul destinations from Frankfurt in the summer timetable include Halifax flights every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The airline also said the Condor logo is returning to the tails of its aircraft. For trademark reasons, the Thomas Cook logo and the heart logo must be completely removed after the final separation from the now-defunct travel group. The tail fins of the Condor aircraft will be revised with decals in the coming weeks as part of regular maintenance.
