NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — This holiday season, Pictou County based children’s clothing company, Neezies Inc. is donating 100 children’s outfits to the IWK Foundation and the Pictou County United Way.
A total of 200 items tallying over $3500 will be given to infants and toddlers from across the province. Working with the IWK and the United Way, the company’s President, Emma Enman is making the gift to families facing budgetary strain and children’s illness over the Season.
“Children are the heart of what we do and being a Nova Scotia-based company, I can’t think of a better way to give back to our community this holiday season than to support our local children’s hospital and United Way,” said Enman.
With all the extra expenses around the holiday season many people are facing a financial strain, she said.
"I hope my donation can ease that stress and put some smiles on the faces of the little ones."
Enman started the children’s clothing company after experiencing how quickly her own daughter wore through the knees of pants. Seeing a need that no other clothing manufacturer was meeting, she created a design and brought it to WearWell Garments. With her designs and their sewing, Neezies began in 2015 selling crawling pants with built-in knee pads for added comfort during the various stages of learning to crawl, walk, and run and the inevitable tumbles of toddler play. The Neezies line quickly evolved to include, hoodies, t-shirts, dresses, overalls and accessories.
“My hope is to help parents and caregivers who need assistance and allow them to give their little ones new, comfortable clothing sets this Christmas,” said Enman. “By working with the IWK Foundation and the United Way, through their toy drive, I know the clothing will be placed in the hands of those who need it most."

Neezies embraces the gift of giving principle all year round demonstrated through their partnership with the IWK Foundation which sees 10 per cent of their sale go directly to the Foundation. Neezies donations will help buy state of the art equipment, such as heart monitors, incubators and dialysis machines, and help fund expert pediatrics and research programs.
