A family council assembly for Glen Haven Manor will take place on Saturday, March 9 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Bluenose Dock, Glen Haven Manor.
CEO Lisa M. Smith will deliver a presentation on the vision, mission, values and strategic directions for Glen Haven Manor’s 2019-2024 Strategic Plan as well as introduce the 2018 year in review video.
Additional presentations will be given by social worker Diane Palmer on the topic of ethics while Donna MacLane, director of community, relationships and engagement, and Kim Dickson, director of communications, will speak on plans for the upcoming Glen Haven Manor 50th anniversary celebrations.
Information on Glen Haven’s Snoezelen Therapy will be delivered by Heather Shepherd, director of quality and resident care. Gwen Savage, recreation programmer, will talk about summer highlights. The Family Assembly will have a theme of celebrating Easter with some special treats.
“We are delighted to present a recap of the highlights of 2018 at Glen Haven during the Family Council Assembly and to have the opportunity to have input from family representatives on the development of our strategic plan for 2019-2024,” says Smith. “We have had excellent input from our residents council and board of directors and there is an upcoming session scheduled with staff. Input from families will provide valuable information.”
