More than 20 community leaders from over 10 countries gather in New Glasgow town council chambers

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. —

Over 20 women came to council chambers in New Glasgow on May 17 to discuss a wide range of topics with municipal leaders ranging from essential services like water safety, to arts and culture and climate change. 

The students have come Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Iraq,The United States, Kenya, Ethiopia and Egypt as part of the Coady Institute's two-week Women's Leadership in Community Development program.
