NATUROPATHIC JOURNEY: Feeling relentless pain?

Are you experiencing insomnia due to pain and inflammation? Do you feel frustrated with taking strong pain medication that is affecting your digestive tract and causing stomach pain? I see this every day in my practise and I am committed to helping my patients with alternatives to this horrible way of living!

Definitely, there is some relief from getting body work done, however, it is short lived and one would need to have it done daily to rid the body of pain.

There are amazing antioxidants and Nrf2 activators available to lower oxidative stress (call the office if you would like more information) but the first thing a person should think about is getting more alkalinized. Foods to increase alkalinity include greens and fruit, juicing, etc. Your body will reap out stored minerals from bones when the body is consuming acidic foods and drinks.

Oxidative stress causes inflammation and many diseases and the number one instigator of this is psychological stress. PTSD and daily stress wreak havoc on our bodies. We always think of unhealthy food, smoking, air pollution and water as the main culprits of cellular stress but it is psychological stress that rates very high.

If you are dealing with emotional and stressful situations then find help, see a counsellor, begin meditation (just go on YouTube), and calm your mind. Get involved in meditation groups and begin to quiet the mind.

It’s been read in the folklore about Queen Marie Antoinette of France, in 1793, who was captured and sent to the guillotine. Her hair turned white overnight due to the psychological stress of knowing her demise. This was known as the Marie Antoinette syndrome and was due to oxidative stress.

Everyone is invited to the St. James United Church at 197 Main St, Antigonish at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, Oct. 12 for information on a healing mat system that improves your cellular health. It is used extensively in Europe and all around the world. If you would like to call the office and ask more questions, please do.

There is an upcoming Women’s wellness retreat on Oct. 21. For more details, visit www.iamworthit.today .
