The Cape Breton Pagan Society is hosting its first-ever Earth Day Market to raise awareness of consumer spending habits and the effect on the Earth. “We celebrate the equinoxes. Sometimes we get together for full moon rituals. We also have things like book club, craft nights —just kind of community building get-togethers like potlucks, karaoke, game nights to get people out and get to know each other. Last Earth Day we did a beach cleanup over in North Sydney,” says member Jennifer Desveaux-Gillis.
