SYDNEY, N.S. — Twelve-year-old Jeremy Morneau, right, fools around with his friend Brooklyn Knowles, 14, during Etolie de l'Acadie's school skating at Centre 200 on Wednesday.

The Grade 7 and Grade 9 student are good friends and dedicated hockey players. Morneau plays in the peewee 'B' division while Knowles, who likes school skating because it's "free ice time," plays bantam 'AA'.

The school is currently looking for donations of gently used skates for students in need, for them to borrow during school skating excursions and hopes to have enough for their next trip to Centre 200 on Dec. 20. Sizes four to six are most needed and the skates can be hockey or figure skates.

To make a donation please call 902-563-3900.
