Labour of loaf in Sydney

Shane O’Handley, a chef at the New Dawn meals on wheels program, checks on some bread at the New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation kitchen on Nepean Street in Sydney this week. The program now prepares about 300 lunches and dinners for residents throughout Sydney and surrounding communities each week. Meals on wheels is always looking for volunteers to deliver meals. Routes are planned so deliveries only take one hour per week. For more information on volunteering, or the adopt-a-route program, contact Kathleen Whelan at 902-562-1245 or kathleen@newdawn.ca.
