WESTVILLE ROAD – David Hood will remain a fixture at the Pictou County Wellness Centre when the management shifts from Nustadia to local management on April 1, 2018.
Hood currently is employed as general manager and will continue in the role of chief operating officer according to a release from the Pictou County Wellness Centre Building Authority on Thursday.
In September it was announced that Nustadia Recreation Inc.’s contract would end effective March 31, 2018. The Pictou County Wellness Centre Building Authority has said the decision to manage the centre was made to reduce the allocation while ensuring the services offered by the Wellness Centre are efficient, professional and cost-effective.
“David is currently in the role of general manager of the Pictou County Wellness Centre and the knowledge and experience that he has will be invaluable to the future success of the facility,” stated Trenton Mayor Shannon MacInnis, chair of the Pictou County Wellness Centre Building Authority. “David is currently participating as a key member of the transition team that is accountable to deliver a seamless transition from the current operational management agreement.”
