20-year-old arrested for armed robbery on Forbes Street, New Glasgow

The Southeast District RCMP is investigating following an off-road vehicle crash in Memramcook that left one man dead and another injured.

New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit has arrested 20-year-old Ryan Norman Kevin Nielson in connection with an armed robbery that took place around 10 p.m. July 19.

Nielson was arrested about 2:30 p.m., July 20 on Forbes Street, the street where the robbery occurred.

The victim reported a man had a firearm and robbed him of his personal items. The suspect fled the area and police and K-9 were called in and searched the area.

The 20-year-old was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and with breaching probation.
