Jimmy Wright was about to change the headlight of his Chevy Silverado pickup truck when he thought he smelled something. So, the former Pictou firemen moved his truck away from his garage. Then it caught fire.
“I’ve never seen anything go so fast,” Wright told Pictou Fire Chief Paul Janes after the blaze was put out. “It was gone in no time.”
Members of the Pictou Fire Department received the call at approximately 11:45 a.m. and were on the scene at the Faulkland Street residence within minutes. No one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is unknown.
