Annual DEANS gala set to honour people, businesses at Glasgow Square

Drum roll please. Nominations for the DEANS Annual Gala Award Dinner have been named with a wide range of people and businesses being recognized for their work on the Northumberland Shore.

DEANS annual Gala Awards Dinner will take place April 6 at Glasgow Square showcasing the hard work, talent and dedication of people involved in the local tourism industry, said Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shore marketing director Cindy MacKinnon.

DEANS annual Gala Awards Dinner will take place April 6 at Glasgow Square showcasing the hard work, talent and dedication of people involved in the local tourism industry, said Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shore marketing director Cindy MacKinnon.

Tickets are on sale, and people can contact the DEANS office to secure your seat [email protected]. Tickets are selling for $65 each or a table of 8 is $480.

 

The nominees are:

Rising Star

This award will be presented to a new tourism sector business or attraction established within the last 5 years that demonstrates strong potential for tourism development within the DEANS region. Judges will be looking at innovation, creativity, dedication, community contribution and business achievement.

Chief Experience Opportunity (CEO)

This award will be presented to a tourism sector individual, business or attraction, which has been stalwart on the regional tourism and cultural scene, leading the way as an example of excellence. Judges will be looking at commitment and inspiration, business achievement, community involvement, length of service and leadership.
