A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing in Priestville on Jan 18.
James Falt, 33, is charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation. He has been remanded into custody until Jan. 28 when he will return to Pictou Provincial Court.
Officers from the Pictou District RCMP responded to a stabbing on Pristville Loop, in Priestville at around 5:45 a.m. on Jan. 18. Investigators believe that Falt and the victim, a man from Priestville, are known to each other.
The victim, 23, was transported to hospital with serious injuries following the incident. Later that morning, Falt was arrested without incident in Stellarton by the Stellarton Police Service.
