Bike Run for the Boobies raises money for Women Alike

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – More than $4,000 was raised at the second annual Bike Run for the Boobies event held on Aug. 24. 
The event is organized by Bob “Big B” Arbuckle in honour of his mother-in-law Beverly McGuigan, who is a breast cancer survivor.
Arbuckle’s wife, Terri, recently presented a cheque from the event to the Women Alike Society, which is a support group for breast cancer survivors.
She said this year’s event was a great success with a total of $4,150 raised, which she said is about on par with last year. There were more than 60 bikers who took part.
The event is already scheduled to go ahead again in 2020 on Aug. 24.
