Bubble bump soccer involves two teams facing off, five aside, and battle on the soccer field while safely encased in a huge inflated bubble. Participants bounce and roll, flying askew in all directions as they bump into each other and bounce like human balls across the field. The bubbles are suitable for indoor and outdoor play in all seasons and weather conditions

MacDonald said she and Davidson were looking for some new aspects to include with their entertainment and amusement Northshore Events which rents bouncy houses when they discovered bubble bump soccer.

“We are really interested in bringing fun new exciting products to Pictou County,” MacDonald said. This seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

“In our research we came to find out it’s a really safe game,” she said. “It’s really inclusive. People ages 12 and up can play and co-ed teams.”

Northshore Events will not only be offering bubbles for private parties, team building events, and fundraisers, but also organizing the first and only Bubble Bump Soccer League on the North Shore of Nova Scotia.

With an individual registration fee of only $150, teams of ten will battle in an eight game regular season for a chance at playoffs and the inaugural Bubble Bump Cup.

League play will begin in June and there will be very limited registration, so individuals and teams are encouraged to visit bubblesoccerpc.com to submit their teams and register.

Northshore Events will be answering questions about the sport at their grand opening Spring Fling Fundraiser: Butterflies for Bria and Flowers for Fleur on April 4th from 12 p.m. -4 p.m. at the North Nova Education Center. There, participants will be able to register their team for league play or book their bubbles for private parties and special events throughout the summer and beyond.
