PICTOU – A local business has been fined $5,000.
Quality Cleaners was charged with failing to store tetrachloroethylene waste water used for dry cleaning at all times in closed containers as well as failing to have all residue transported to a waste management facility at least once in 12 months contrary to the prescribed use of tetrachloroethylene. The charges were laid Aug. 27, 2015.
The same charges against the owner, John Robert Wong, were withdrawn.
