East River Road in New Glasgow was temporarily closed Tuesday evening Nov. 13 as a result of a two-vehicle collision which resulted in one car catching fire.
Const. Ken MacDonald said a car collided with an SUV as both vehicles were travelling south around 4:45 p.m. Nov. 13 in front of the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. The car caught fire, but the driver was able to escape without serious injury. The car suffered extensive damage as a result of the fire however.
Both New Glasgow Regional Police and New Glasgow Fire Department responded to the crash.
