PICTOU, N.S. — Though the 2019 Dream Vacation Draw ticket holders still have a few opportunities left to win, the 2020 campaign has already kicked off for the deCoste Performing Arts Centre.
“We’re excited to be starting a little earlier this year,” says marketing manager Jennifer MacLennan.
She added they sold the last of the available 700 tickets on their final day of being open before closing for the holidays last year, Dec. 21. “There were many who were disappointed they didn’t get in the draw, so I’m sure they’ll be one of the first to call us this year.”
The campaign offers ticket holders entry in a monthly draw for a variety of trips, all valued between $2,000 and $3,000; total value of prizes is $38,000.
As well as 12 trips to destinations such as Cuba, Mexico, Scotland and England, there are four monthly draws of $120, giving supporters the opportunity to win their ticket purchase back.
There are two earybird draws for tickets bought before Nov. 30. The draw will be made Dec. 5 during the performance of ’Tis the Season with Bette MacDonald, for a weekend getaway to Pictou Lodge Resort during their annual Beer Fest Weekend, usually held in June.
Another bonus prize is for patrons who purchase their 2020 deCoste memberships with the Dream Vacation Draw tickets. It’s a chance to win two VIP tickets to all the shows in 2020, meaning front row seats, with a value as much as $2,000.
The full price of $35, is reduced to $30 and a $25 coupon is given that can be used throughout the year toward a deCoste show.
The deCoste is also launching a new loyalty program in the new year for members. With every ticket purchase, 15 per cent is accumulated for discounts on future ticket prices, or eventually a free show.
Dream Vacation Draw tickets are available by contacting deCoste staff in the box office Monday to Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 902-485-8848 ext. 1, toll free at 1-800-353-5338, in person at 99 Water Street, Pictou or by ordering online at decostecentre.ca. Tickets and memberships are now also available each night of shows prior to, and during intermission.
