On Jan. 6, Pictou District RCMP teamed up with young artists from Pictou County Elementary schools to remind drivers to keep their eyes out for students now that school is back in session.
The artists drew pictures with safe driving themes. RCMP officers then handed out the artwork to drivers at a recent check stop to remind motorists to use extra caution behind the wheel, especially in school zones and around school buses.
The RCMP thanked the students for their efforts to help get the message out to drivers about safe driving habits. To report unsafe driving, call the RCMP from anywhere in Nova Scotia at 1-800-803-RCMP (7267). If it's an emergency, call 911.
